Christmas Eve

The Vestey family gave a wonderful meet at their home on Christmas Eve, how very kind to open their doors and welcome all our followers. Big Thanks!
An enjoyable day was had with Hounds & we stayed dry which was quite a surprise!

Boxing Day
Boxing Day followed suit & after a splendid meet kindly given by the Fox & Hounds we enjoyed another dry day! against all odds!
The turnout on Denholm Green was encouraging, mounted & on foot. the last two Boxing day meets have sadly been shrouded by terrible weather, so it was great to see lots of fresh faces supporting our wonderful tradition! The hunt also raised £148 for the Hunt Servant Benevolent Fund so thanks for those who contributed.

Our Hosts
Although the ground has been saturated recently, Landowners, Farmers & Meet hosts have been incredibly kind & allowed our festive arrangements to continue. please remember without their generosity we would not exist.

Merry Christmas, and Thank You

Chris Strickland - Tuesday, December 20, 2016

A big thanks to our Oxnam Valley farmers once again.

The Richardson family hosted us last weekend and fittingly for a mild winter (so far) had a BBQ.

Of course it would be unfair to compare Ian's culinary skills with that of Vicki Hedley of The Pantry.

A stunning meet as always by the Hedley family and truly delicious food in abundance, thank you!! It has once again been voted meet of the year for 2016.

On that note thank you to everyone who has supported the Jedforest Hunt in 2016, whether its a £1 in the bucket, graft behind the scenes, meet hosting, or helping out at the coal face, it all counts.

Merry Christmas : )

Lamb Burgers

Chris Strickland - Wednesday, December 14, 2016

The standard for food at Jedforest Hunt meets went up several notches this week as the Wardrop family treated us to a delicious spread of Lamb burgers, mulled wine and all the trimmings. A very big thanks for their hospitality.

That combined with strong healthy foxes meant watching hounds and their quarry was an absolute pleasure.

Oxnam knows how to do it in style folks ; )
